Heading downtown to the new Broad Museum? Chef Timothy Hollingsworth is giving you much more to do in his latest project, Otium. Previously Chef de Cuisine at The French Laundry in Napa Valley, Hollingsworth has brought his craft to downtown Los Angeles in an elegant, rustic restaurant just adjacent to the Broad. Those unfamiliar with Hollingsworth: Think approachable eating experiences that emulate fine dining with aspirational dishes that include a tender pork belly and a colorful falafel plate. Bonus points for a warm and inviting space, featuring large wooden fireplaces and scenic windows overlooking the Broad Museum plaza.

Otium is open during lunchtime hours from 11:30 AM to 3:00 PM daily (hopefully expanding into dinner in December). Can’t get a table? Check out the Otium takeout kiosk, Otium On The Go, in the Broad Museum plaza.
