Taste Test Ladybird

Vegan power-duo Ravi DeRossi and Daphne Cheng (Avant Garden, Mother of Pearl) have partnered up again to expand their vegan empire to Greenwich Village. Located on Macdougal Street, Ladybird has taken over The Bourgeois Pig space (also owned by DeRossi), transforming its dark and sexy interior to a 42- seat room with white walls, green curtains and gold accents. The menu also took quite a shift, boasting vegan bites like a vegetable charcuterie plate, quinoa croquettas, and chocolate fondue for desert. Ladybird evolved out of DeRossi’s desire to take all meat products out of his restaurants, while also adding a charitable twist. A portion of all profits from Ladybird will be donated to DeRossi’s non-profit foundation, BEAST, which aims to end animal cruelty. Amazing food for a great cause is definitely a night out that we can get behind.
