What is something I would be surprised to learn about you?

You would be surprised to know that I rode horses competitively for eight years growing up! The barn was my life before I stared acting. Riding taught me a lot about dedication and how hard work and setting goals for yourself can pay off. I also met my best friend riding, so I'll also always be grateful for that.

What’s the most memorable fan encounter you’ve had?

The most memorable fan encounters I have had happened this past month on the Paper Towns Press Tour. I was so overwhelmed by all of the amazing people who came out that loved the story as much as we did—I'm smiling just thinking back on it.

If your name was a verb what action would it be?

If my name was a verb it would mean "to love." I'm a romantic. I love love.

What’s your favorite book/movie/TV show/band?

Favorite book: Brain on Fire
Favorite movies: Girl, Interrupted, Walk the Line, and Stanley Kubrick's Lolita
Favorite band: Right now, I love Hozier and The Weeknd. My all-time favorite artists are Ryan Adams, John Mayer and Jack Johnson.
TV show: House of Cards... but I just binge-watched Friday Night Lights and that will always be one of my favorites!

What’s your guilty pleasure?

I like John Green's answer to this question—"I try not to feel guilty about any of my pleasures..." but maybe going to see a movie during the daytime. It feels sort of rebellious in a way.

What’s one place in the world you’re dying to go to?

I am absolutely, positively dying to visit Italy.

Why did you get into acting?

I have wanted to act for as long as I can remember. I think it was something about entertaining people that made me happy, even if it was just putting on shows for my family at the dinner table. It's what I love to do.

What is the best advice you have for anyone who wants to be an actor?

The best advice is cheesy, but believe in yourself and trust your instincts.

If you had to stay in one place for your whole life, where would it be and why?

I would never stay in one place for all of my life! I like traveling too much. But my home will always be where my family lives. Wherever in the world they are is where I want to be.

If you could pick any TV show to guest star on, what would it be?

I would have so much fun guest-starring on Orange is the New Black. I feel like they have such a great range of characters. Plus, I'd feel like a badass pretending to be in jail.
