Casa Enrique

February 25, 2017

Brunch in Manhattan is like The Hunger Games. The streets are flooded with people (who are usually hungover and not in the brightest of moods), Postmates is surging, and you’ll probably have to wait over an hour just to sit down. Long story short, you’re brave if you leave the house without a plan. So when my friends and I decided to have brunch together last weekend, we got creative.

Casa Enrique is a Long Island City local gem with an authentic Mexican menu recognized by a Michelin star. On a cold Sunday in February, the room was bursting with people with not an empty seat in sight. Walking in felt like entering your grandma’s house after she’s cooked a feast – warm, welcoming, and ready to stuff you until you can’t breathe anymore. Within 5 minutes of our arrival, we knew we hit the jackpot. Although the commute might throw you off, we promise, it’s worth it. Scroll below for our menu selects, we’ll see you there.
